Tamil Nadu IT Hostel & PG Owners Welfare Association
was established to support and represent hostel and PG owners
catering to
IT professionals and working communities. The
association was formed to address
operational challenges, ensure
legal compliance, and promote best practices in
safety, hygiene, and management.
With a strong foundation built on
unity and cooperation, the association works
towards creating a professional,
transparent, and
sustainable ecosystem for its members.
Before the formation of this association, many
hostel and PG owners faced serious challenges
such as
pressure, threats, and unfair demands from local
bodies and anti-social elements, especially owners who came
from outside Chennai.
Recognising these issues early,
six founding members
came together to form a single association that could
protect owners and address industry-wide problems
through collective strength.
Today, the association has grown into a strong network of
2,000+ members, representing nearly
10,000 hostels and PG establishments, operating
with confidence, safety, and mutual support across Tamil Nadu.
Our vision is to ensure that owners can run their businesses
peacefully, without fear, and with the full
support of government and local authorities,
creating a
safe, transparent, and stable environment.
The association is legally registered under the
Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act, 1975
(Registration No: 404/2020), and actively
operates in
Chennai, Kanchipuram, Chengalpattu, and Thiruvallur, with growing presence across the state.
